Many individuals and NGO’s coming forward in COVID-19 lockdown pandemic, to help the needy by different forms, spreading awareness to distributing ration. This pandemic has indeed changed the entire scenario to give a glance to almost in any sphere. It has thrown the livelihoods of lakhs inti a chaotic twister. Daily wagers, migrant laborers, footpath vendors, hawkers have all had their only source of income snuffed out by the lockdown.

To help them aloof and stay afloat, many families individually are coming forward by distributing cooked food or dry ration and doing their bit in many different ways, though lockdown been released in some of the zones, but indeed it doesn’t assist in meeting the basic needs of the above said and many more.

Likewise, yet another humble family from Acharwal village of Raikot, came forward to help the needy ones who been the sufferers for no reason. RPO under the supervision of BDPO Rupinderjit Kaur distributed dry rations to many needy families within their region and areas nearby affected by the Corona epidemic. Gurdial Singh Gill, Harbhajan Kaur Gill, Amanpal kaur Gill, Avinder Pal Singh Gill, Jagtar Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Karamdin , etc. were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Rupinderjit Kaur said that Punjab government is making all necessary arrangements as much as they could to deal with the epidemic. The Punjab Government and administration are committed to meet every need of the citizens and various measures have been made in such direction. She further pleaded to the NGOs and volunteers to come forward and hand in hand together try to bring betterment for all and assist in fighting with COVID-19 pandemic.
