Jalandhar, February 3, 2020: Punjab government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has decided to organize State Level function to mark the Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji MaharJalandhar on February 9.
Divulging the details MLAs Sushil Kumar Rinku and Chaudhary Surinder Singh along with Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today reviewed the arrangements for the mega event to be held at Sri Guru Ravidass Bhawan, Link Road on Sunday. They said that the event would be a humble and befitting tribute to Sri Guru Ravidass ji Maharaj and to perpetuate the life and teachings of this great Guru.
The MLAs and Deputy Commissioner said that Sri Guru Ravidass Ji was a great spiritual ambassador and messiah of the poor and unprivileged sections of the society. They said that the great Guruji taught us to lead a virtuous and noble life adding that his life and philosophy still continues to guide humanity towards an egalitarian society. They said that this a path-breaking initiative of Punjab government, which was committed to strengthening communal harmony and brotherhood in the state besides preserving and promoting majestic and secular cultural ties of Punjabis.
The MLAs and Deputy Commissioner further said that an elaborate arrangement would be made for this gala event. They said that district administration has chalked out a foolproof strategy for commemorating this day in a befitting manner. They reiterated the firm commitment of the state government to observe this function in an unsurpassed manner.
On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh, Deputy Director Local Government Anupam Kaler and others were also present.
