Phagwara, April 19 Keeping a strict vigil over the law and order situation Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Mohammed Tayyab and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Kumar Sharma visited the key places in the city.
Both the officers visited these places and asked the people to exercise peace and restraint. They said that the district Police and civil administration was keeping an eagle eye over the law and order situation adding that no one would be allowed to disturb peace and amity in the city. They said that the situation was completely peaceful and under control and no one would be allowed to disturb the peace at any cost.
Meanwhile, both the officers also had detailed parleys with key officers of the district administration. They asked the officers/ officials to discharge their duties diligently for maintaining peace, law and order at every cost. They said that for maintenance of law and order in the district several duty magistrates have already been deployed in the city. They also appealed to the people to not get swayed away by the canards being spread by some anti-social elements.
