Ferozepur, July 22, 2020: A 65-year-old man, Boota Singh, resident of Bhagat Singh Colony, died due to Covid-19 infection in Ferozepur taking the death toll to five.
A few days back, he was admitted in the Civil Hospital on testing positive for Coronavirus and later on, he was referred to Faridkot Medical College where he died during the treatment. His cremation will be performed as per the medical protocol on Covid-19, taking all precautionary measures. With the death of Boota Singh, the total number of deaths in Ferozepur has gone to five. There is, however, panic among the people of the area.
As of now, 233 Corona positive cases were detected in the district. While 112 are still active, 117 have also been discharged on recovery.
Meanwhile, the district administration and health department are making an appeal to the people through print, social and online media, from time to time, to follow the instructions of wearing mask, to maintain social distancing, washing hands frequently and move out only in emergency cases that too following the medical protocol.
