Ola and Uber to pay pending Govt revenue since entry fee to Chandigarh Parida

Chandigarh February 4.2020 ( By YS.Rana) : A meeting was held under the chairmanship of  Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, here on Tuesday to sort out the issues of Ola and Uber.

During the meeting, he clarified that the pending government revenue has to be paid.  He alsostated that since the entry fee of UT, Chandigarh is only Rs.333/- per month which is much cheaper than the neighbouring states, there shouldbe no reason for the default.

However, as a special case, it was decided that all stakeholders may be allowed to make payment of first two quarters of current financial year by 15/02/2020; while the remaining needs to be cleared by 31st March, 2020, after which a special drive will be started by the Transport and Traffic Department to penalize the defaulters for non-payment.  He also advised the agencies to promote green vehicles, so that Chandigarh remains a green capital of the country.
