Chandigarh, August 10 9, 2020: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala said that with the introduction of new ordinances in the interest of farmers by the Central Government, farmers would be able to sell their produce anywhere in the country. Earlier, the farmers could sell their produce within the purview of the market committee of their respective areas.
Dushyant Chautala was interacting with the media persons after listening to the grievances of people of Uchana in district Jind on Sunday.
He said that as per the new ordinances, the farmers would be free to sell their crop in a market or area where they would get a good price for their produce. He said that orders have been issued to conduct special girdawari to assess the loss to cotton crop in several villages of Uchana and Narwana assembly constituencies due to recent rains. It would be ensured that farmers do not face any loss, he added.
On being asked to comment on the Baroda by-election, he said that the date of the election is yet to be declared. After the announcement of the election, the coalition government would take a decision about its candidate, he said, claiming that the coalition candidate would definitely win the by-election.
