New DC exhorts officials to redress grievances of people on priority

Fatehgarh Sahib. November 5, 2019: The officials must redress the grievances of the people and get their work done with in stipulated period as per the provisions of Right to Service Act, so that they may not face unnecessary harassment in Govt. offices, if anyone found responsible for delay suitable action would be initiated, said Amrit Kaur Gill new Deputy Commissioner, while addressing her maiden monthly meeting of district officials called to review and further intensify the ongoing development projects and implement the public oriented schemes of State Govt. at grass root level here today. She told the officials that she wants results in time bond manner corrupt practices, lame excuses, absenteeism and furlo will not be tolerated at any cost, the officials and employees have to be punctual.

To control the stubble burning cases, she directed the officials to verify the status of the fields of all those farmers, who got subsidy under stubble management tools, if anyone found burning the stubble, the subsidy should be recovered and FIR should be lodged.

To control the menace of stray cattle, she directed to immediately start the construction of shed at Govt. Gaushala in village Galodian, so that stray cattle could be shifted there.

She directed the officials to arrange camps in rural areas to provide health cards under Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna to eligible beneficiaries without any difficulty.

She directed the Executive Officers to intensify cleanliness drive and directed sewerage board officials to speed up the ongoing work of laying sewer in Sirhind, Amloh and Bassi Pathana towns. She directed the Civil Surgeon to ensure that specialist doctors must attend the OPD daily, so that the patients may not suffer. He directed all the SDMs to ensure that illegal encroachments from Govt. land are removed in urban and rural areas.
