*Launch of Delhi Govt’s e-resource portal- LEAD*

New Delhi, July 3, 2020: Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Delhi,  Manish Sisodia launched Delhi Government’s comprehensive e-learning portal- LEAD (Learning through E-Resources Made Accessible for Delhi) here on Friday. More than 10,000 instructional materials and course content have been made available for classes I to XII. Students will now have access to textbooks, study material, course content as per the syllabus of the CBSE, NCERT and  Delhi Govt’s curriculum through the online platform-  LEAD (Learning through E-Resources Made Accessible for Delhi). This will include digital QR coded textbooks, learning outcomes, explanatory videos, practice questions and evaluation.

“In the last five years, the Education team of Delhi has worked towards reforming the education system of Delhi by taking steps to provide best quality education to each child. By introducing Happiness Curriculum, Mission Buniyaad and Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum, we have tried to connect education with the life of children,” said  Manish Sisodiya.

“It is a way for us to connect and share our programs and experiences with the entire country. The online portal will also enable us to learn from the teaching-learning experiments and experiences of other states.  It is going to be a mutual sharing and enlightening experience for us all,” said Deputy CM Manish Sisodia

Manish  Sisodia congratulated the Delhi SCERT and the Directorate of Education for the successful launch of the portal. He thanked NCERT and MHRD for providing the opportunity to the Directorate to share its programs and instructional material on the DIKSHA portal.  He also said that during this pandemic, a huge number of students and their parents have shown great interest in online learning. This has raised the team’s confidence that children will take advantage of e-learning resources available on the LEAD portal.
