Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway will be completed within a one-and-a-half month, Manohar Lal By SK.Vyas

GURUGRAM, APRIL 12, 2018 ( By SK.Vyas )  :  The Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, has said that Gurugram City has been divided into four zones and focused development is being undertaken in each zone in a phased manner. The zoning system has benefitted the city a lot.

        He was presiding over a meeting of industrialists and real estate developers in Gurugram on Thursday. As many as 61 complaints related to real estate were taken up at the meeting and maximum were resolved on the spot.

          A number of changes have been made in policies and rules during the last three-and-a-half years. Various projects which had been stalled for a long period of time have since been got cleared by the present government paving the way for their completion.

      Giving an example of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, Manohar Lal said the matter had been lying pending with the Supreme Court. The state government got the matter cleared from the court and construction work resumed.

     Resultantly, the KMP would be completed within one-and-a-half month after which the Prime Minister,  Narendra Modi, would inaugurate the expressway. Similarly, the difficulties faced in the construction of Dwarka Expressway have also been resolved.

          A separate authority is being constituted for the KMP Expressway. It has been decided not to undertake further expansion of Gurugram city and instead improve it in its present form. This will help reduce the burden on Delhi, he added.

        Addressing representatives of the real estate industry, the Chief Minister said such meetings would be organized from time to time to redress the grievances of industrialists. The state government expects a large number of industries to come to Gurugram bringing huge investment and creating a large number of jobs. Haryana has become number one state in terms of the Ease of Doing Business and now the second step would be getting customer feedback.

        Others present on this occasion included MLAs Umesh Aggarwal and Tejpal Tanwar, Chief Secretary, D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary, Excise and Taxation, Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Power Utilities, P.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department,Alok Nigam, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Sudhir Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Town and Country Planning Department,  Arun Gupta, and other senior officers.
