Ludhiana, October 18, 2018 ( By TnL Bureau) : Dhruv Dahiya, Senior Superintendent of Police, Khanna has disclosed in a press note that a special campaign against the Drug Trafficking & misdemeanours has been started and during this campaign, Khanna Police has achieved a success, under the guidelines of Sh. Jasvir Singh, PPS. SP/I/Khanna, Sh. Jagwinder Singh, PPS. DSP/I/Khanna, Insp. Baljinder Singh Incharge CIA/Staff Khanna, ASI Mashinder Singh along with police party were checking the suspected Vehicles/persons near Bhadewal Canal Bridge PS/Payal. During checking, a Car No. PB-65-AA-2751 (Santro) was coming from Village Bhadewal side. After seeing the Nakabandi, one person came out from the car and flee away.
Police Party nabbed the second person (Car driver) along with car on the spot & he was identified as Gurpreet Singh S/o Parmjit Singh R/o Village Dudhar PS Pasiana Distt Patiala & his accomplice was identified as Bittu S/o Karnail Singh R/o Langroi PS/Pasiana Distt Patiala (who was ran away). On the frisking of Car, 25 Boxes of Malla Brand Liquor (For Sale in Haryana State Only) has recovered. A case FIR No. 147, Dt. 17.10.18 U/S 61/1/14 Excise Act PS/Payal has been registered & arrested Gurpreet Singh. The remaining accused Bittu will be arrested soon.
