JALANDHAR ADMINISTRATION GEARS UP FOR ORGANIZING STATE LEVEL FUNCTION ON ‘PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS’ ON JUNE 8

JALANDHAR, JUNE 2  :In order to make the people aware about the child rights, a state level function of ‘Protection of Child Rights’ is being organized on June 8 in the local APJ College here.

 Additional Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said that the State Commission for Child Rights was organizing this event to sensitize the people especially the Police about the child rights. He said that more than 400 Police officers from across the state along with other dignitaries are expected to take part in this function, which will be presided over by the Special Chief Secretary NS Kalsi.Dayalan said that Police officers from all the Police stations across the state along with the nodal officers of districts not below the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP), would be attending this state level function. 

          Meanwhile, on the directions of Dayalan a high level of the district administration led by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM)-I Rajiv Verma visited the venue of the function and took stock of the necessary arrangements to be made for the event. Verma also gave necessary directions to the officers for ensuring the smooth conduct of this event. He also asked the officers to ensure foolproof arrangements for this function, so that it could be conducted successfully.
