Jalandhar, December 4: The students of Bachelor of Design of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya visited weaving units at Nakodar. The students visited Raj Durrie Factory and Powerloom Durries, Nakodar. Yarns, weaving techniques, color combinations, weaving calculations, pre and post loom preparations are studied thoroughly by the students. Students and faculty members interacted with the weavers, manufacturers and marketing persons. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the department. She said that such visits prove very fruitful for the students. On this occasion, Head of Fine Arts Department Shama Sharma and Dr. Rakhi Mehta were also present.
