Indianapolis, July 2: The Indiana India Business Council will recognize two honourees this year with the prestigious “Indiana Ratna” (Jewel of Indiana) award – Governor Eric Holcomb and Infosys, the Indian multinational information technology company.
The third annual “Indiana India Gala” event scheduled for Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 5:30 pm at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, 140 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46204, according to Mr Raju Chinthala, Founder and President of the Indiana India Business Council “Indiana Ratna’ is the highest award bestowed by the board members of IIBC to individuals who have contributed significantly towards strengthening cultural, educational, political, social, and economic ties and have helped in making a profound impact in both Indiana and India.
Christel House International Founder Christel DeHaan was the first “Indiana Ratna” award recipient in 2018 and former Mayor of Indianapolis Gregory A. Ballard was the second “Indiana Ratna” award recipient in 2019.
There is a sponsorship level to suit every budget.
In a message to Raju Chinthala, renowned artist and community leader K P Singh commented “We think that Governor Eric J. Holcomb is a great choice for the Indiana Ratna Award for his outstanding leadership. Infosys has its claim for this high honor for adding such sizable investment and thousands of high caliber jobs to Indiana. ”
