I.K.G PTU organizes TPO Meet, Implementation of Placement Policy as agenda discussed

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, March 16: I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar organized training & Placement Officers Meet (TPO Meet) at its main campus as well as its Amritsar campus today. More than 30 Placement Officers of colleges located in Amritsar, Batala, Gurdaspur, Pathankot and TaranTaran districts participated in this said Meet. Earlier 50 Placement Officers participated in Jalandhar’s meet.
Implementation of Placement policy approved by Board of Governors, IKGPTU was the main agenda. Dr. Arun Mehra, Registrar, IKG-PTU, Amritsar Campus presided over the meeting.
Er Navdeepak Sandhu, Deputy Director, Corporate Relations, IKG-PTU elaborated about the new Placement Policy in detail.Queries regarding the implementation of new Placement policy were also addressed. Colleges were directed to upload placement brochure on their respective websites with the complete detail of last & present year’s placement record.
Colleges were also directed to share the placement achievements on social media mentioning company’s name, package along with the name & snaps of selected students.
Mrigender Bedi, Assistant Director, CR&A, IKG-PTU thanked the participants and informed that University has already organized one such meet at IKG-PTU main Campus and another is also scheduled at Mohali in the last week of March 2017 to cover the remaining districts under the jurisdiction of IKGPTU.
