HMV becomes first college to perform play “Jio Kar Suraj Nikalaya”

Jalandhar, January 19, 2020:   Dedicated to the 550th Birth Anniversary  of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Maharishi Kalidas Dramatic Club of HMV in collaboration with Department of Cultural Affairs  Punjab Government and Punjab Sangeet Natak Academy, Chandigarh, staged a light and sound performance on “Jio Kar Suraj Nikalaya” under the motivational guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The play is written and directed by Kewal Dhaliwal.

Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen extended a green welcome to the Chief Guest Ramesh Kumar Arya, Vice President DAVCMC and prominent guests Kewal Dhaliwal, Trilochan Bilga, Dr. Lakhwinder Johal and Yash Gulati.

Addressing the audience Dr. Ajay Sareen told that the play will be performed at every college in the year 2020 as per the directions of Punjab Govt. and HMV becomes the maiden college to host the performance. She encouraged the students to inculcate the philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji into their lives.

These initiatives help us to build a strong society devoted to the service of the country. She congratulated the coordinator  Veena Arora for the successful performance of the play. Navvroop (HOD Punjabi Deptt.), Kuljit Kaur, Satinder Kaur, Mamta and faculty members of various departments were present on the occasion. The stage was hosted by Dr. Meenu Talwar.
