Chandigarh, November 25- Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal has directed the concerned officials to prepare a plan for mapping of Rabi crops so that there will be no issue while conducting crop mapping.
Sh. Dalal said this during a meeting with the officers of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department here today.
The Agriculture Minister further directed that besides progressive farmers in Agriculture, the progressive farmers who have adopted Fisheries and Dairy farming should also be honoured so that other farmers would get inspired to adopt other sources of generating income.
While discussing the availability of DAP in the state, the officials apprised the Agriculture Minister that the state is getting two rakes of DAP every day from the Central Government and a stock of about 25,000 MT DAP fertilizer is available in the state.
Regarding urea, it was apprised that about 1.19 lakh MT stock of urea is available in the state. The Agriculture Department is getting 10,000 MT of urea per day from the central government.
Sh. Dalal said that the Central Government will provide 4.5 lakh MT of urea to the state by December 31, 2021 for sowing of Rabi crops.
Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Dr. Sumita Misra and Director General Agriculture, Dr. Hardeep Singh and other officers of the Department were also present in the meeting.
