Ferozepur, October 6, 2019, 2019: Police arrested three persons from Makhu with heroin, drugs, drug money, and fake currency.
The accused have been identified as Asif alias Nona of Makhu, Harmesh Singh alias Mesha of Dhodewal of Jalandhar and Davinder Singh of Ranshih Klan in Moga and booked under NDPS Act and Section 489-A of IPC at police station Makhu.
A tip-off was received by the police during the patrolling that the accused are doing the business of selling heroin. All three were arrested by putting up a ‘naka’ and during the search operation, 10 gm heroin, 200 habit forming drugs, Rs.4.50 lac drug money and fake Indian currency of Rs.12,700.
Gurbachan Singh has been appointed as IO to investigate into the case with special focus of the links of the accused in getting drug supplies and sources of fake currency.
