Prof. Rotimi Aluko gave a detailed overview on “Bioactive Peptides”
Mahendragarh,November1,2018 ( By SK.Vyas) : Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh organized the expert lecture on “Bioactive Peptides”. Dr. Rotimi Aluko, Professor in the Department of Human Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada was the foreign expert. Prof. Aluko is world-renowned scientific leader in the field of functional foods and nutraceuticals research. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. R.C. Kuhad stressed the need of research in the field of Nutrition Biology with the point of view of health in the current scenario.
In his lecture, Prof. Aluko enlightened a detailed view of the quantitative-structure activity relationship modeling of Bioactive Peptides. In his lecture, he informed about recent advances on the health benefits of bioactive peptides with evidences of biochemical and nutritional studies. The Foreign Expert complimented the University leadership for exemplary benchmarks achieved by CUH in the field of life sciences. According to the organizer of the lecture, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, the extension lecture by the foreign expert was conducted with the inspiration & motivation of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. R.C. Kuhad.
Prof. Promod Mehta, Dean School of Interdisciplinary and Applied Life Sciences, appreciated the talk of the foreign expert Prof. Rotimi Aluko, as well as the efforts of the faculty for organizing such lectures at regular intervals. A large number of participants, including faculty, students and research scholars of the university attended this seminar.
