Jalandhar, November 19- Election Commission of India has announced the revised schedule for special summary revision of photo electoral roll by fixing February 7, 2020, as the qualifying date.Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the Commission has approved the calendar of pro-revision activity of draft publication of photo electoral rolls. He said that the draft publication of electoral rolls would take place on December 16, 2019, and claims and objections to be filed from December 16, 2019, to January 15, 2020. He also said that on January 27, 2020, the claims and objections will be disposed off.
He further said that the preparation of supplements would be made on February 4, 2020, and the final electoral rolls would be published on February 7, 2020. He said that the all Electoral officers have been directed to conduct meeting with leaders of political parties to aware them about the revision of Electoral rolls.
