District Employment and Business Bureau is proving a bliss to the Youth of district Fatehgarh Sahib

 Fatehgarh Sahib, 31 January,20230: District Employment and Business Bureau established by Punjab Govt. under Ghar Ghar Rojgar Mission, is proving a bliss to the Youth of district Fatehgarh Sahib. As such, 7161 youngsters got employments through 78 Placement camps and mega job fairs organized by the bureau.

Stating this Chief Executive Office cum Additional Deputy Commissioner Sh. Jaspreet Singh said that low-interest loan has been provided to 748 applicants for starting their self-employed business so that they could become self-reliant and could support their families. He said that the bureau not only provide information and guidance about the higher studies and for staring a self-employed business, but the bureau also provides guidance and coaching for IAS, PCS and other competitive exams.

Additional Deputy Commissioner said that Group guidance has been provided to 2554 applicants for jobs, self occupations and higher studies. He said that after the establishment of the bureau, 15371 applicants from various technical & Educational institutions have visited here, besides this bureau officials also visit schools and colleges and educate the students of Matric and +2 about the courses to be chosen by them after studies.

He said that group guidance is also provided to the applicants registering at the bureau, as such, a total 788 group guidance stands conducted. Bureau has also organised 31 Self- employment camps. He said that applicants registering at the bureau are also scrutinized for the skill courses and during the last year 1103 applicants have been selected for the skill training. S. Jaspreet Singh said that as per directions of Director Employment Generation & Training Department, Mass Counselling were organized in various schools, whereat carrier guidance was given to the students and during this 248 representative from 81 institutions gave their valuable guidance to 12799 students.

He appealed the youngsters of the district to get them registered with the District Employment & Business bureau so that appropriate employment opportunities could be provided to them.
