GIFTS A PEN AND RS 100 TO EACH STUDENT FROM HIS POCKET

Jalandhar, May 18, 2018 (By Madhur): Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today lauded the School for Meritorious Students for transforming the destiny of bright students by grooming them for future competition.

          Interacting the students and faculty after felicitating 18 bright students of the school, who have made a place in the merit list of the recently declared class 12th, the Deputy Commissioner said that these schools were the harbingers of new success stories in the region thereby realizing the ‘big dreams’ of the intelligent students. He said that the regular success story of the students of the school was reflective of the fact that this experiment of state government to shape careers in the right direction has been very successful. Sharma said that the students of these schools have proved their mettle in highest competitive exams of the country.

          The Deputy Commissioner said that the students were very fortunate that government has opened these schools to give right direction to their careers. Sharma said that earlier the students used to face a lot dilemma in selecting their careers after matric due to the absence of such institute. However, he said now under the able guidance of the teachers from this prestigious institute the dreams of students were getting wings and they were able to leave their mark both in the fields of academic and professional career.

Congratulating the students, the Deputy Commissioner said that their success was the result of the hard work and dedication adding that they have excelled in studies because they have burned the midnight oil for this purpose. He also complimented the faculty of the meritorious school, which has made sure that students work hard and give the result. Sharma called upon the students to continue this hard work and strive hard for excellence in future.

          Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner felicitated the students with a medal and certificates besides gifting them a pen and Rs 100 each as a token of appreciation from his own pocket.

          Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh, District Guidance Counselor Surjit Lal, District Education Officer Satnam Singh, Deputy District Education Officer Gurpreet Kaur, Director RUDSET  Jagdish Kumar, Principal of Meritorious School Raman Deep Kumar and others.
