Chief Justice inaugurates New Judicial Court Complex in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, May 4, 2019:  On Saturday, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chief Justice, Krishan Murari, inaugurated the New Judicial Court Complex.  Session Court from the old complex will also shift to the new complex.

Speaking to the media persons after the inauguration of the complex, Chief Justice Krishan Murari said the new complex has been prepared at a cost of Rs.52 crore and special attention has been paid for facilities to the advocates, court staff and those who come to the court complex  in various cases.  All rooms are air-conditioned with one waiting room having facility of hi-tech library, record room and malkhana.

Earlier, both the Session Courts and the lower courts were at different places, causing inconvenience to the advocates, staff and visitors which problem has been solved with the construction of new complex.

Chief Justice informed, “I had been posted at different places as Judicial Officer but I have not seen modern court complex like Ferozepur”.

He appreciated the civil and judicial administration officers for this new court complex which will have 14 courts in four blocks.

Chief Justice also visited the Bar Room and during interaction with the advocates, he said, he had old association with the bar and today’s visit has refreshed his old memories.

Earlier, the school children also presented a cultural programme.

Addressing the children, Chief Justice Krishan Murari called upon the children to be alert towards environment besides making an appeal to keep the surroundings neat and clean and use the natural resources, judiciously on need basis.
