CBI rtegisters case against Two Mumbai based Companies,Cheating Bank Of India

New Delhi, June 17, 2020:  The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case on a complaint from Bank of India against two Mumbai based private companies & others including MD, Directors of a private company and unknown others including unknown public servants/bank officials on the allegations of cheating Bank of India to the tune of Rs 57.26 crore (approx.)

​            It was alleged that during the year 2013 to 2018, the Mumbai based private Overseas company represented by its MD and others including unknown public servants entered into a conspiracy with an intent to cheat the Bank of India, Mid Corporate Branch, Fort, Mumbai in the matter of availing FB Purchase/ Foreign Bills Negotiation Limit and Export Packaging Credit Limit. In pursuance of the conspiracy, the said private company allegedly got sanctioned and released said facilities of Rs.60 crore (approx.). It was further alleged that after availing the said limits, the accused company diverted the funds and prepared forged & fabricated documents in support of the claim. An alleged loss to the tune of Rs.57.26 crore (approx.) was caused to the Bank of India.

            Searches have been conducted at 05 places in Mumbai at the residential & official premises of accused including the private company which led to the recovery of certain incriminating documents including property, loan, various bank account details & locker keys.

Names of the accused:
(i) M/s. Avyaan Overseas Pvt. Ltd. (Now known as M/s. Bagla Overseas Pvt.
Ltd.), Mumbai and its MD Sh. Mohit Kamboj.
(ii) Sh. Jitendra Gulshan Kapoor; Sh. Siddhant Bagla; Sh. Irtesh Mishra (All
Directors of private company).
iii) M/s. KBJ Hotels Goa Pvt. Ltd.
