The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) has today imposed Death Penalty to both accused Surender Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher with fine of Rs.10,000/- Under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The case pertains to abduction, rape & murder of the victim in one of the Nithari(UP) group of cases. The Court further sentenced the accused Surender Koli to undergo LifeImprisonment with fine of Rs.10,000/- Under Sectin 364of IndianPenalCode (IPC), 10 years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.10,000/-Under Section 376/511 of IPC & 7 years RI with fine of Rs. 5,000/- u/s 201 of IPC. Similarly, the Court also sentenced the accused Mohinder Singh Pandher to undergo 7 years RI with fine of Rs. 5,000/- Under Section 376 of regouous Imprisonment with Seciton 120-B of theIPC and 7 years RI with fine of Rs. 5,000/- Under Section 201 of
the IPC read with120-B of theIndian Penal Code
(IPC).This was stated by RK.Gaur Spokesperson of the Central Bureau of
Investigation (CBI).hE Said CBI had registered a case on January11,
2007 against Surender Koli resident of Village Magru Khal, District Almora(Uttrakhand) and Moninder Singh Pandher resident of Sector 27 Chandigarh on the request of Gov
ernment of Uttar Pradesh and subsequent notification by Government of India.
Gaur said that it
was alleged that the accused Surender Koli committed rape and murder of the victim at D-5, Sector 3, Noida (UP) on December22,
2006. After investigation, charge-sheet was filed in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate(CJM)CBI Cases, Ghaziabad (U.P.) on April,2007. Charges were framed on June 4,2007.The Trial Court found the accused persons guilty and convicted them onJuly21,2017
