Jalandhar February 14, 2021: The Vigilant troops of Border Security Force and IB once again thwarted the attempt of Anti National Elements to push the consignment of contraband items into India.
BSF, Amritsar sector observed suspicious movement of smugglers on both side of
Border Security Fence. Sensing the threat and stopping the misadventure, troops fired
upon the miscreant, but due to dense fog & poor visibility, smugglers managed to
escape.
On searching the area, BSF troops seized 06 packets of contraband (Approx.
06.380 Kgs) suspected to be Heroin in the area of responsibility of 22 Bn BSF, Amritsar
Sector.
During the year 2021, BSF has effected under mentioned seizures on Punjab Border:-
Heroin:- 77.284 Kgs (Including today’s seizure)

Pak National Apprehended:- 11
Pak Intruder Killed:- 02
Weapon (Different Types) :- 05
Magazine(Different Types) :- 06
Ammunition(Various Calibres) :- 49
