Avail benefits of Govt’s 3 day Camps on fromMay 8

Jalandhar, April 19, 2018: Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar  Varinder Kumar Sharma today called upon the needy people to drive maximum benefit from three special assessment camps for people with special needs being organized by the Punjab government in the district from May 8-10.

Sharma said that this was a unique initiative of the state government to provide a healing touch to the people with special needs. He said that needy people must come forward and register themselves in these camps so that necessary assistance could be given to them.  Sharma said that this camp was being organized under by the Social Security and Child Development department with the support of the district administration.

He said that a team of experts would check the people coming for the registration and assess the extent of disability of the people to prepare a report for distributing artificial limbs. He said that these camps would be organized at BDPO Office Dimapur on May 8, at Gandhi Vineeta Ashram on May 9 and at BDPO Office Phillaur on May 10. Sharma reiterated that people must come forward for availing the benefits under this camp.
