ANTI-LARVA TEAM DETECTS SIX LARVA CASES

 Jalandhar, November 23, 2019:In its ongoing drive against vector-borne diseases in the city, the anti-larva cell of the health department detected six dengue larva cases in various areas of the city on Saturday.

The various teams of anti-larva cell led by  Amanpreet Singh, Sukhjinder Singh,  Jaswinder Singh, Rajwinder Singh,  Sher Singh and  Pradeep Kumar carried out the inspections in New Beant Nagar, Kot Kishan Chand, Ram Nagar, Kabir Nagar, Kartar Nagar and Mohalla Number-22 in Jalandhar Cantonment.

             The teams visited 366 houses covered the population of 1645 and checked 68 desert coolers and 432 waste containers.

             The members of teams apprised the residents that the desert coolers, containers could act as a breeding ground for the mosquitoes to spread diseases like dengue, malaria, and others. They said that the drive was aimed at identifying vulnerable places for producing the larva of mosquitoes.
