
AMRITSAR, SEPTEMBER 9, 2018: Punjab police have arrested four accused who were allegedly involved in looting Rs.38 lakhs from bank cash van.
Inspector General Police of Border Range Amritsar S.P. Parmar confirming the arrest of accused here today said that police have recovered Rs. 30 lac cash from looted bank money, two cars, two automatic pistols, one rifle from arrest accused.
Accused who were arrested identified Davinder Singh, Sultan Singh, Palwinder Singh and Beant Singh whereas one of their accomplices Harpreet Singh who yet to be arrested, said IG.
It may be added here, last month on August 23, these arrested accused had allegedly looted cash Rs. 38 lac when senior bank officers of Canara Bank were shifting cash from Bank to some other location in Majitha area, where bank cash van was intercepted, wind screen was broken with hammer and red chilli powder was thrown in the eyes of van occupants and looters ran away with cash.
