Aggarwals celebrate Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti

Ferozepur, October 17, 2020: Aggarwal Sabha and Aggarwal Vikas Parishad, Ferozepur today jointly celebrated Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti by garlanding the statue at Maharaja Agarsen Chowk.

Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti is mostly observed in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and is a regional public holiday in the country. It is a celebration of the birthday of Agrasen Maharaj, a legendary Hindu King.

Rajinder Garg, a senior member said, Maharaja Agrasen was a legendary Indian king of Agroha, a city of traders. He is credited with the establishment of a kingdom of traders in North India named Agroha, and is known for his compassion in refusing to slaughter animals in yajnas.

Present on this occasion were – Ashok Guplta, Surinder Aggarwal, Dharampal Bansal, Rajinder Garg, Rajeev Aggarwal and Vijay Aggarwal.
