Jalandhar, May 8,2020: In its drive to provide the essential items to the people, the district administration today supplied 106446-litres of milk and 5526 quintal vegetables and fruits to them at their doorsteps.
Several teams of the Milkfed, Punjab Mandi Board and Food and Civil Supply departments under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma were providing these essentials in every area of the district.The teams of Milkfed headed by General Manager Rupinder Singh Sekhon were covering maximum households in the district with supply of Milk and other products.
As per the details on Friday, the teams of Milkfed delivered around 106446-litres of milk to the people of the district besides, 877-kg Cheese, 10946-kg curd, 17712-litre lassi and 487-kg Kheer through the authorized dealers in every locality.
The teams of Mandi Board led by DMO Davinder Singh Kainth also ensured the supply of 5526- quintal vegetables and fruits to the people.
Similarly, the teams of Food and Civil Supply led by District Food and Civil Supply Controller Mr Narinder Singh were providing grocery and other products to the people through the teams.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma told that the district administration ensuring people could not face any sort of problem in the getting the essential commodities.
