Another jolt to BJP-Akali Dal, 20 families of village Katora join Congress in presence of Pinki MLA
Ferozepur, December 25, 2020: Today, about 20 families from Katora village left the Bhartiya Janata Party – BJP and Akali Dal and announced to join the Congress party in the presence of Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA.
In Ferozepur, it was another jolt to the party as earlier about 80 families from Kothi Rai Sahib had left the BJP, Akali Dal and joined the Congress party led by Lakhwinder Singh Thakedar and the current Sarpanch and Chairman.
The twenty families, who left the BJP and joined the Congress said they were proud to have joined the Congress. They said that it was a matter of pride for us to have a leader like MLA Pinki who was carrying out development works in the constituency without any discrimination.
We have joined the Congress party today to support MLA Pinky for the welfare of all sections of the society,” they said.
Those who joined the Congress party include Sukhdev Singh, Anoop Singh, Gurbakhsh Singh, Kashmir Singh, Jagir Singh, Surjit Singh, Gurdev Singh, Sukhwant Singh, Jeevan Singh, Mukhtiar Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Swaran Singh, Balwinder Singh and Jagjit Singh.
On this occasion, Pinki said, the 20 families would be accorded due respect in the party and efforts will be made to make the constituency prosperous with your support. He said that no slack would be allowed in the development works in the constituency and development works would be carried out without any bias. He said that people were joining the Congress party and showing their faith in the Congress party as they were unhappy with the deadly policies of SAD-BJP government.
