ANTI-LARVA TEAM DETECTS 12 LARVA CASES

Jalandhar, November 18,2019:  Continuing its drive against vector-borne diseases in the city, the anti-larva cell of the health department detected 12 dengue larva cases in various areas of the city on Monday.

The various teams of anti-larva cell led by  Pradeep Kumar,  Sukhjinder Singh,   Jaswinder Singh,   Vijay Kumar, Gurwinder Singh, Mr Pawan Kumar,   Amanpreet Singh, Mr Jagjeet Singh,   Raj Kumar and   Sher Singh conducted the inspections in Uday Nagar, Hargobind Nagar, Kasturba Nagar and Garha Main Bazaar.
The teams visited 362 houses covered the population of 1550 and checked 66 desert coolers and 446 waste containers.

           The members of teams told the residents that the desert coolers, containers could act as a breeding ground for the mosquitoes to spread diseases like dengue, malaria, and others. They said that the drive was aimed at identifying vulnerable places for producing the larva of mosquitoes.
