October, 11: A 10 hours workshop entitled “FINANCIAL EDUCATION FOR YOUNG
CITIZEN” was organized by the PG Department of Computer Science and IT,
Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar under NISM (National
Institute of Securities Market) initiative. Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur, Head,
P.G. Department of Commerce was the resource person. The objective
of the seminar was to create awareness in students about managing
and planning their personal finances & getting to know the pre-
requisites for investing in securities markets. Additionally, she also
stressed on the precautions to be followed while investing in securities
markets. She provided awareness of employment opportunities as well
as of self-employment opportunities in financial service industries.
Principal Dr. Navjot appreciated Dr. Raman Preet Kohli, Head, PG
Department of Computer Science and IT for successfully organizing the
workshop.
