Two day residential SRMD Youth festival 2019 at the International Headquarters of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur in Valsad, Gujarat concludes

Dharampur (Valsad, Gujarat ), December 30, 2019: Of late, Over 1,500 youth from 200 cities across the world gathered in celebration of diversity and togetherness. In addition to sports and action-packed games where the youth cultivated values of team-spirit and confidence, they also put these values into action on the next day, when they engaged in 9 handpicked social initiatives in the tribal belt of South Gujarat.
Some mega social initiatives undertaken were:
- Medical Outreach Camp in Rural Areas
- Manufacturing products with the tribal women of Mahila Gruh Udyog (Women Skill Development Centre)
- Educational Visits and Beautification of the local school and college- Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul and Vidyapeeth.
- Learning Organic Farming
- An Anand Mela organized for promoting rural crafts and community service
- Caretaking of Cattle in the Jivmaitridham (Cattle-houses) and much more
Thriving in a world of hustle and competition, the Youth Festival became an invitation to harness the power of the youth’s talents and skills and use them towards uplifting the society and ourselves.
