JALANDHAR COMMISSIONERATE POLICE MAKES ELABORATE SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS 800 POLICE OFFICIALS HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED TO KEEP A STRICT VIGIL IN WAKE CCTV CAMERAS INSTALLED AT STADIUM, NIGHT DOMINATION AND PATROLLING ENHANCED IN THE CITY

Jalandhar, August 13-: In wake of the Independence Day celebrations in the city,

the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has made elaborate security

arrangements for the smooth conduct of this mega event.

          Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioners of Police

Rajinder Singh and Gurmeet Singh, who held detailed deliberations

with the Police officers/ officials in the Guru Gobind Singh Stadium

here today, said that foolproof security arrangements have been made by

the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police for celebrating this auspicious

occasion. They said that the entire area around the venue of the event

has been cordoned off by the Police and 800 Police officials have been

deployed to keep a strict vigil in wake of the Independence Day

celebrations. Likewise, they said that CCTV cameras have been

installed at the venue for keeping a regular check in and around the

stadium.

          Both the officers said that security has also been enhanced

in the city to check any sort of anti-social activity. They said that

round the clock vigil was being kept in the city for which various

patrolling parties of the Police officials have been set up. Likewise,

they said that senior officers have been instructed to conduct night

domination in the city to keep a strict eye on law and order

situation.

          Meanwhile, both the officers also visited the stadium to

take stock of the security arrangements at the ground level. They said

that a control room has been set up at the stadium by them to

regularly monitor the situation.

Prominent amongst another present on the occasion included Additional

Deputy Commissioners of Police Ms. B Sudarvizhi and Gautam

Singhal, Assistant Commissioners of Police Mandeep Singh,

Sameer Verma, Navneet Singh Mahal, Parminder Singh and Mr.

Kailash Chander besides other officers/ officials of the Police

department.
