AMRITSAR,DECEMBER16,2018 ( By TNL Bureau): The rebel Akali Dal leaders today formed Shiromani Akali Dal(Taksali) and unanimously elected Ranjit Singh Brahmpura as its president. An announcement in this regards was made at Akal Takht where thousands of SAD workers had assembled to support the rebels.
Brahmpura accompanied by senior leaders and former ministers Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Rattan Singh Ajnala and former SAD vice president Ujjar Singh Badali in the morning paid obeisance at Akal Takht and addressed the big audience. Brahmpura said that they would revive the spirit of original Shiromani Akali Dal formed in 1920.
Brahmpura said that new Shiromani Akali Dal(Taksali) is dedicated to Sri Guru Grnath Sahib and all the leaders who come together to form the party would work hard to achieve the goals. He said that their first priority is to punish the guilty of sacrilege of Guru Grnath Sahib while he announced that new party will be secular by its constitution.
Brahmpura said that Badal family had earned the wrath of Guru Granth Sahib and Sikhs angat by allowing sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and giving pardon to so called dera sacha sauda head Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh. He said that Sukhbir Singh Badal and Bikram Singh Majithia have ruined the Shiromani Akali Dal and worked only to make money by illegal means. They are responsible for growth of drug mafia, sand mafia, transport mafia and real estate mafia. He said that common Akali workers were honest and sicnere to party. He said that Badals would not be allowed to capture Siklh religious insitutions. He said that Badal family was using SGPC and Akal Takht as their personal property.
Brahmpura said that the victims of Bargari police firing and Korkapura police action have not got justice and police officials involved in the henious crime were not brought to book by previous and present government. He claimed that Akali leaders all over Punjab, India and abroad had extended support to them.
Taksali Akali Leader said that Badals and Mahithia have killed theor conscience and driven by the soul of Aurangzeb. He appealed to all people of Punjab to extend suppport to them to get rid of Badal family.
