Ferozepur, May 27, 2018: There is a need to spread the ideology of revolutionary Bhagat Singh who sacrificed for the freedom of the country, said Prof Jagmohan Singh, nephew of Bhagat Singh at a seminar on the ideology of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, organized by Joint Front of various organizations today at Ferozepur with an aim to put wiser the general public and to raise voice to convert the hideout at Toori Bazar, into museum and library.
The Joint Front was participated by Northern Railway Men’s Union(NRMU), Punjab Subordinate Services Federation (PSF),Pensioners Association, Janwadi Istri Sabha, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Naujawan Sabha and Kissan Sabha in good numbers by labourers, farmers, youths and women and presided over by Surinder Singh, Janak Raj, Mohinder Singh Dhaliwal, Rajiv Handa, Jai Pal Sharma, Parmod Kumar, Jagdev Singh, Sawinderpal Kaur, Balwinder Kaur Khalsa.
The keynote speaker of the seminar was revolutionary Bhagat Singh’s nephew Prof. Jagmohan Singh.
During his address, Prof. Jagmohan Singh said, Shaheed Bhagat Singh was of revolutionary mind and ever ready for any sacrifice for the freedom of the country. He also kept a very clear political and economic understanding for the welfare of labour after the freedom of the country.
He said he (Shaheed Bhagat Singh) was of the view that the labour class will only get the benefit in case the state power is in the hands of farmers and labourers. Bhagat Singh was strongly against the communalism and was in favour of giving equal rights to the Dalit community of the country.
Speaking on this occasion, Rakesh Kumar, a researcher on Bhagat Singh shared his views in detail about the hideout at Toori Bazar and demanded from the Punjab Government to convert this place into museum and library.
State leader JPMO, Com Raghbir Singh said the hideout at Toori Bazar was, in fact, a planning place to make strategies for the freedom of the country. The real tribute to Bhagat Singh will when the hideout place is converted into museum and library and ‘yatra’ is started from this place, to spread the ideology of Bhagat Singh.
