2.95 LAKH CHILDREN IN THE DISTRICT BETWEEN AGE GROUP OF 0-5 YEARS TO BE ADMINISTERED PULSE POLIO DROPS

Jalandhar, March 9,2018: District Immunization Officer (DIO) Jalandhar Dr. Tarsem Singh today said that 2.95 lakh children between age group of 0-5 years would be administered pulse polio drops during special campaign between March 11-13 in the district.
Flagging off special awareness drive here from the Civil Surgeon office, DIO said that this campaign was targets at immunizing 2.95 lakh children in the district between age group of 0-5 years. He said that 1081 booths would be set up in the district and 83 mobile teams have been constituted for the campaign. Likewise, Dr. Tarsem Singh said that 28 transit teams for vaccination have been set up.
The DIO said that 2202 teams have been constituted to the administer polio drops to the children whereas 209 supervisory teams have been constituted. He said that these teams would administer Polio drops to the children in 5.37 lakh households. Dr. Tarsem Singh said that the Health department would make concerted efforts for making Pulse Polio Campaign a huge success in the district.
