Prasar Bharti:AIR,Jalandhar organizes Akashvani Music-2016

Jalandhar,March 3 : The Prize distribution function of All India Radio Music Competition 2016 was held at Ragini Auditorium of HMV College, Jalandhar today. Chief Guest eminent Punjabi Folk Singer Gurmit Kaur Bawa along with Santosh Rishi, Programme Head, AIR, Jalandhar, Rishi Kapoor, Engineering Head, AIR, Jalandhar and Smt. (Dr.) Ajay Sareen, Principal, HMV College inaugurated the function.
Programme Head Santosh Rishi in her welcome address said that in this national level All India Radio Music Competition started in 1955. The winners of different Competions in different music categories are registered as approved artsits of All India Radio. During the function, Ragini Deoley from Indore, Sayon Sen and Nilanjan Dey from Delhi, Krushna Salonke from Pune, Prashant Mishra, Amrendra Mishra and Mohammed Panjtan from Varanasi,Momin Khan and Nishad Ali Kawa from Jaipur, Diwakar Meena from Bhopal, Arpit Dixit & Party from Gwalior and Ranjit Kumar from Shimla who won different prizes in different music categories like Vocal, Pakhawaj, Sitar, Tabla, Vrindgan, Lok Geet, Shahnai and Violin recital were given prizes. All the prize winners performed during the function also.
