Jalandhar, December 29,2018 ( By SK.Vyas):The poll for the panch of ward number two at village Mandiala in Block Mehatpur of Tehsil Nakodar has been countermanded following the death of a candidate contesting the polls.
Giving the details the Additional Deputy Commissioner cum Additional District Election Officer Jitendra Jorwal said that Tarsem Lal a candidate contesting the elections for post of Panch from ward number two at village Mandiala had passed away following heart attack on December 28. He said that exercising the power conferred under section 53 of Punjab State Election Commission Act 1954 the Returning Officer has countermand the poll process for post of panch in the ward.
