BOTH THE GROUPS BURY THEIR DIFFERENCES AND PLEDGE TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNAL HARMONY, PEACE AND AMITY IN DISTRICT

Jalandhar, September 10,2019: Upholding the glorious tradition of the district to maintain communal harmony, peace and brotherhood, two groups of the city which were at loggerheads since September 7 after violence in Nakodar today amicably resolved their matter in front of Senior Superintendent of Police Navjot Singh Mahal.
During a meeting held at the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police the representatives of both the groups led by Sri Baal Yogi Baba Pargat Nath Ji and Sukhjit Singh Khosa said that the tension was created between them due to some misunderstanding on September 7. However, they said that in consonance with the philosophy preached by the great Gurus and religious leaders along with the larger interests of the city residents they have decided to amicably resolve the issue between them and call off ‘Nakodar band’ call given for tomorrow (September 11). Representatives of both the groups buried all their differences and pledged unity to uphold the ethos communal harmony, peace and brotherhood so that goodwill and amity prevails amongst all the city residents.
Both the groups also announced that they would not issue any statement against each other and would jointly make strenuous efforts to ensure that peace and prosperity prevails in the city. They also lauded the efforts made by the Senior Superintendent of Police along with Superintendent of Police Nakodar Mr. Parminder Singh, Deputy Superintendents of Police Sarabjit Singh Rai and Surinder Pal to maintain peace, amity and brotherhood in the district. They said that the matter has been resolved harmoniously due to the concerted efforts of the top brass of the Jalandhar (Rural) Police especially Senior Superintendent of Police.
On the occasion, the Senior Superintendent of Police reiterated the firm commitment of the Jalandhar (Rural) Police to maintain peace and communal harmony in the district. He said that every effort was being made to make sure any such attempt to thwart peace and brotherhood in the district was dealt with sternly. Mr. Mahal also complemented the leadership of both the groups acting wisely to break the ice over the issue for its early resolution.
On the occasion Amarjit Idaa, Balbir Singh Cheema, Rauni Gill, Sukhwinder Gahdwal, Balwinder Maldi, Dharminder Nangal, Parchottam Bittu, Saabi Dhaliwal, Chandan Grewal, Deepak GrJyoti Mann, Amrit Khosla and Raj Kumar Raju were also present.
The representatives of Satkar Committee including Kulwinder Singh, Harpal Singh Chadha, Tejinder Singh Pardesi, Harpreet Singh Neetu, Harpreet Singh Robin, Harjot Singh Lucky, Satpal Singh, Lashkar Singh, Gurinder Singh and Kamaljit Singh Tony were also present.
