90s centric film ‘Vadda Kalakaar’ shoots in borders villages of Ferozepur

Ferozepur April 18, 2018: At a time when Punjabi films too are in controversy over religious sentiments, the shooting of a 90s centric family film with comedy – Vadda Kalakaar –  produced by Rajan Kumar and Satish Katyal keeping unconvincing thoughts for mother-tongue cinema, with ambition to do better, is in progress in the border villages of Ferozepur.  The film is going to add another feather in Punjabi cinema heading towards the golden chapters.

With the creative arch, the film Vadda Kalakaar – with Alfaaz starrer – directed by Kuldeep Kaushik and produced under the banner of Red Castle Motion Pictures, known for the popular Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Basu, has a long experience in direction.

Going to deliver more dynamic dimension of Punjabi cinema, the leading role of the film is being performed by singer artist Alfaaz and the Canada based beautifully actress Roopi Gill already well-liked on Diamond Music Videos. The co-artists are Jassi Kaur, Nirmal Rishi, Yograj Singh, B.N.Sharma, Teji Sandhu in strong roles.

Talking about the theme of the film, S.Katyal Producer and Kuldeep Kaushik, Director said, the 90s based film written by Deedar Gill with dialogue by Boota Bhulla is centered of the period when the popularity of VCR and TV was at the prime, the hero of the film desires to become a hero being influenced by the film industry and he faces various types of lies, deceptions and unfolds the situation of old and new concepts.  We are hopeful that the audience will enjoy the film, in the way it has been presented.

It has become a centrepiece of discussion since the creation of film production in Punjabi film industry with Yograj Singh to be seen in an important role, who himself is very excited about his role in the film.

In this cinema, so far only comic entertainers have come up but now original Punjab has started showing its dominant influence in Punjabi cinema.

Alfaaz said the film is about becoming a star or famous which is the dream of every kid in Punjab. It tells the story of a young Punjabi guy, who takes inspiration from actors like Yograj Singh and dreams of paving his way into the Punjabi film industry. I play the role of that guy in this film,”

Roopi Kaur coming attraction of the Punjabi film, sharing her feelings about the film said, she was feeling proud to have an opportunity to work with so many artists and will to the expectations of the whole team and audience. Despite living in Canada, I have not forget my roots in Punjab and love to work for Punjabi film industry.
