Jalandhar, November 17, 2019; Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Ranked No.1 College in India by India Today Ranking, a pioneer institution of women education always takes initiatives is organizing various educational and industrial trips to enhance the knowledge and overall personality of students. In keeping with the tradition, under M.Voc and B.Voc. in Textile Design and Apparel Technology an industrial visit to Sharman spinning Mills, Ludhiana was organized to make the students aware of the manufacturing process of women shawls. On Arrival at the company, the Admin-HR, of the company welcomed the students.
Ripan Jain-HR Manager First interacted with the students on some general aspects, career planning and opportunities to get the best jobs in the Textile Industry during the first session. In the next session, students visited the industry where they got the knowledge of the manufacturing process of shawls from the spinning of wool fibers to the production of shawls through different power looms such as Jacquard, Dobby, Projectile, Rapier and Air Jet Looms. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this exposure will definitely help the students to gain real time knowledge of what they have been learning theoretically and practically.
