Kissan Mazdoor outfit condemns budget by Modi government as anti-farmers

Ferozepur, February 2, 2020:  Kissan Mazdoor outfit today condemned the budget by the Modi government as anti-farmer besides asking for various long-pending demands.

Satnam Singh Pannu, State President and Sarwan Singh, General Secretary, Kissan Mazdoor Organisation condemning the budget by the Modi government said, the budget by the Modi government is to benefit the big corporate houses and to oust the farmers from the agriculture profession.

They also demanded the waiving of entire loans of the farmers and ensure the marketing of all crops by the farmers.

The farmer leaders said as many as 44 farmers are daily on an average are committing suicides trapped in the web of interest when the country is passing through the employment and economic crisis. At least, 12 lac crore loan is due against the farmers of government and non-government institutions.

The government has become liberal and given a free hand to the corporate houses for making amendments to the Agri. Production Market Committee – APMC when the Mandi Boards of Centre and State governments have no control over it.  Likewise, there is also a mention of contractual system in the budget which clears that in the coming time, the government is going to withdraw itself from the procurement of wheat and paddy., they said while discussing various other demands including the implementation of Dr.Swaminathan report and privatization of various departments like LIC, Railway, Air India, BSNL etc.

The farmers also demanded the rollback of  black laws of CAA, NRC and NPR besides demanding the arrest of Centre Minister Anuragh Tahukur and BJP MP Parvesh Verma for giving provocative statements.
