Ludhiana, October 30,2019 : On 1st November, 2019, Income Tax Department Ludhiana, along with a large number of Schools, Tax practitioners and other concerned citizens, would be carrying out a mass awareness programme for removal of plastic litter, and make people aware of the need to stop using single use plastic.
While providing information, a senior Income Tax official informed that more than 2000 schools in Punjab and J&K have been invited by the department to participate in this activity on 1st November, in and around their school or any other public place nearby having plastic litter, to spread the message against single use plastic far and wide.
The department has also invited all other Schools, Colleges and citizens to join hands in this Jagriti mission for a clean and healthy India by removing plastic waste from their nearby places, prevent littering, and to avoid use of single-use plastic to help clean the environment.
