The COVID- 19 is growing and it is growing rapidly. Each day, the number of people
infected is increasing. This deadly disease spreads through touch, so the Government
is asking the citizens to stay indoors as much as they can. The country is already on
the verge of lockdown, some states have already been completely locked-down.
Section 144 has been imposed in almost all the states. All interstate flights, trains, buses and even local public transport are closed till 31st March. Everyone wants the disease to go away quickly so that normal life can be resumed.
There is still no vaccine of the disease and so the only way to protect more people from getting infected is by breaking the chain, stopping the disease from spreading even more. And this can only be done if each citizen stays indoors. That’s the only thing that is being asked by everyone. All the celebrities, social media influencers have gone into self- isolation and have urged other people to do the same. But at the
same time, each of us has a question about how to survive the boredom which comes with staying indoors. So, what to do with that boredom? So, here’s a list of things you can do in this period of
quarantine:
1. Sleep: For a long time, everyone was complaining that they don’t get enough
sleep because of their work schedules.
So, now is the time to catch up on sleep
for as much time as you want. Want to sleep for 24 hours straight? Guess what!
You can do it.
2. Binge watch: You’d be lying if you say that there’s is nothing you wanted to
watch but you didn’t have that much time. So, make use of the time and binge-watch all the online series tyou had planned to watch later
3. Read: Remember the book in that shelf that you got from the store because you wanted to read it? Read that now because once the epidemic is over youmay not even get the time to see the cover of that book.
4. Cook: Tired of eating out at restaurants and thinking, “I’ll start cooking for myself from tomorrow”? Now is that tomorrow. Learn how to cook. Learn new recipes.
Who knows it becomes a healthy habit for the rest of your life.
5. Exercise: “I want that belly fat is gone but who has the time to exercise!”, you say that to yourself daily. Guess what, now you have ample of time so pick out your favorite exercise, be it Yoga, sit-ups or just taking a walk in your balcony. Just start.
6. Skincare: Going out for work, college, etc,
you complained about the pollution ruining your skin daily. Sitting indoors will help you save your skin from that pollution. You may also do some at-home skincare routines for that extra glow- up.
7. Clean: Every morning, seeing that mess of a closet made you think, “Oh! If only I had time to set this up!”, isn’t it? Do that extra cleaning of the house and maybe redecorate it. Change the position of that bookshelf, clean those fans,
change the direction of the couch, etc. You have a lot of time.
8. Find a new indoor hobby: Bored of the
monotony of life? Start something new because now you can’t even complain about the office making you tired. Start painting, reading, dancing, etc. There is a sea of options you can choose from.
9. Games: Had a PlayStation lying around in the corner of your room? Now is the
time, you can make full use of it. Or, play online games like Ludo, carrom, and
whatnot, with your friends.
10. Spend time with yourself: During this time of self- isolation, you have a lot of
time to talk to yourself. Spend some quality time with yourself. Think about different little things in life like nature, birds, life in general, etc, which you often forget due to the hustle of daily life. The time is tough but the country is together and this way each one of us will come out of the situation. It’s just a matter of some time. Sometimes, we need to give to make the future better, to make the life of others better. And you have to do all this just sitting at home.Sit at home and save the world.
