Health Department Dental Team visit border village for Dental Awareness among students
Ferozepur, November 29, 2019: Under the able guidance and leadership of Dr Sunita Vadavan Deputy Director cum District Dental Health Officer Ferozepur, a dental awareness cum check up camp was organised at GSSSchool Rajoke gatti on 27/11/2019. Approx 200 students were examined and appropriate treatment was prescribed.
Dr sunita gave a lecture on importance of good dental health and maintenance of oral hygiene. Also Dr Rajneesh Goyal (MO Dental CHC Firozshah) gave a lecture on ill effects of tobacoo, oral cancer and it’s prevention. Dr Pankaj (MO Dental Civil Hospital Ferozepur) and Dr Pallavi( MO Dental CHC Mamdot) examined all the students present.
A painting competition was also organised and prizes given to the winners. Toothpastes, toothbrushes were distributed to the students.
Sohan Singh Sodhi an avid cyclist spoke about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and motivated all students. Harish Monga also shared his life’s experiences on the occasion to motivate the students to concentrate on their studies and health to be successful in life.
Principal of the school Dr Satinder Singh thanked the speakers and also presented a token of appreciation.
The whole team recognized and appreciated the efforts put up by Dr satinder Singh in improving the educational facilities, infrastructure and overall well being of the school in this border town. School staff Sukhwinder Singh Parminder Singh Saruchi Mehta Rajesh Kumar Geeta and Baljit kaur were also present.
