Haryana Lions beat Black Panthers by 64-41
Jalandhar October 18, 2018 ( By Kulbir Singh):With the fruitful raid of Manjot Singh Machiwara Singh Warriors Punjab able to beat California Eagles by 53-52 in the Global Kabaddi League at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here this evening. With this win Singh Warriors Punjab leveled with California Eagles with 6 points each after three outings. In the second match of the day Haryana Lions register second victory in league by beating Black Panthers by 64-41. With this win Haryana have now 6 points from three matches where as Balck Panthers have three points from 4 outings.
In the first match of the day tough battle witnessed by the spectators between Singh Warriors Punjab and California Eagles. In the first quarter Singh Warriors leading by 14-13. In second Quarter California Eagles Stopper made some good stops to put their ahead at the end of quarter. At half time California Eagles was leading by 28-26. In the third Quarter California Eagles consolidated 42-38. In the last quarter Singh Warriors’s Raiders Manjot Singh and Captain Ginni Gopalpuria earned points to leveled his team 52-52. In the last raid Manjot Singh bagged valuable point won the match by 53-52. With this win Singh Warriors having 6 points from three matches, they won two matches and lost one, where as California Eagles after today’s defeat have 6 points from three outings with two win and one defeat.
In the second match Haryana Lions showed their supremacy from the start of the match. In the first Quarter Haryana Lions were leading by 14-11. In the second quarter their Captain Vinay Khatri once again made some good raids to consolidate the lead. At half time Haryana was leading by 31-21. At the end of third Quarter Haryana went ahead with 46-32. In the last quarter Haryana Stopper Sonu Gogal made some good saves to increase the lead. Haryana Lions won this match by 64-41.
