Jalandhar,08,November:Under the aegis of Environment Club, Green Diwali was celebrated at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. On this occasion , Diwali Card, Decorative Diya, Rangoli and Airbreathing Necklace Competitions were organized. Pledge was taken to celebrate Diwali without crackers and with compassion towards one & all. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated Dr. Seema Marwaha, Incharge Environment Club for the initiative. Dr. Seema Marwaha & Dr. Anjana Bhatia motivated the students to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly manner. Dr. Neelam Sharma, in Incharge Science Faculty also encouraged students to keep the spark of creativity alive. Judgment was done by Dr. Shweta Chauhan and Mrs. Purnima. Winners of the event were given an e-certificate. In Rangoli Competition, Yashika & Pratishtha got 1st prize, Sehajdeep and Simarpreet got 2nd prize, a team of Harmanjot, Saranpreet, Arshdeep and team of Isha Thakur & Muskaan got 3rd prize. In Decorative Diya Competition, Sakshi Badola got 1st prize. In Diwali Card Competition Isha Arora got 1st & Khushboo got 2nd prize. In Airbreathing Neclace Competition, Charu got 1st prize & Joshika got 2nd prize. All Science Faculty members and students were present to celebrate the occasion. Dr. Seema Marwaha acknowledged the efforts of office bearers of Environment Club Ms. Gauri Jindal, Twinkle Aggarwal, and Yashika along with Non-Teaching Staff Mr. Sachin, Mr. Rajinder, and Mr. Tirath in successfully organizing the event.
