Chandigarh, Feb 22, 2019:: Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij said that Civil Hospital of Ambala city will be upgraded to 300 bedded hospital for which an administrative approval of Rs. 64.71 crore has been accorded.
Vij said this while replying to a question raised during the ongoing budget session in Vidhan Sabha today.
He said that presently this hospital is 200 bedded and keeping in view the needs of the patients, it is being upgraded to 300 bedded. In this regard, the hospital is being upgraded on the demand of local MLA, Mr. Aseem Goel and the people of this area, so as to provide the best medical treatment facilities to the patients of the constituency and the nearby areas.
Vij said that for up-gradation of the hospital, construction of a new building is essential, for which the tender process etc. would be completed soon.
He said that the construction work of a new building for the renovation of the hospital would be completed in the next 24 to 36 months. For this, the MLA of Ambala city expressed gratitude to the minister.
